Aged Film look with Particular

Posted on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in After Effects, Trapcode Particular

Here is a nice tutorial on creating that aged film look using Trapcode’s Particular. Save it as a preset and reuse it over and over again. Here

Now that I’ve spread the love a little bit, I will introduce myself.  My name is Cameron King.  I love After Effects and all the things it brings to the storytelling process. I love it so much, I started an After Effects group in Washington DC. I will be posting tips, new tricks, old tricks, and basic AE knowledge on this site from time to time.  I come from a video editing background, so I will approach my posts from a motion picture editor’s view. I hope you enjoy and use After Effects to it’s greatest potential.

You can find my personal website here.

Happy learnings!

Deeper Modes of Expressions

If you wanna be an AE Pro, dive into expressions!

Trish and Chris Meyer have been releasing a special chapter of their book Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects in what will ultimately be twelve installments of Deeper Modes of Expression. You can find these at their blog CMG Keyframes on the Pro Video Coalition. As the name implies this series really digs in deep and explores ways to help you make your comps dance in ways mere keyframes aren’t apt to allow easily. The eighth installment, Deeper Modes of Expression, Part 8: Going for a Loop, was posted yesterday.
