Throttle 1.2 Script updated

Posted on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Adobe, After Effects, Free, Scripts

The Throttle 1.2 Script has been updated for After Effects CS4 at aescripts.com. Get it here.

It works with the new multi-processing throttle system that was introduced with CS4 that manages how many CPU’s are to be left free for other applications. This version also adds a little known hidden preference that allows you to set the quality of the Toggle Pixel Aspect Correction button in the Comp View.

Nth Layer Selector Script at AEScripts.com

Posted on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in After Effects, Scripts

nth layerThis little script, Nth Layer Selector will, not surprisingly, select every Nth layer. Get the script here. The little duck image was so cute that I had to include it.

If you’re curious:

Adj. 1. nth – last or greatest in an indefinitely large series; “to the nth degree”n-th
ordinal – being or denoting a numerical order in a series; “ordinal numbers “; “held an ordinal rank of seventh ”

If you have a set of layers already selected it will select every Nth layer from within that selection otherwise it will select every Nth layer from the whole comp.*

Ease and Wizz Script and Expressions

Posted on Monday, March 24, 2008 in After Effects, Expressions, Scripts

Iam Haigh has created an AE script and Hi. I’m proud to announce Ease and Wizz! It’s an After Effects script and a whole bunch of expressions – "the fruit of many, many hours trying to figure out how adapt Robert Penner’s Flash-based easing equations to work as expressions in After Effects."

Ease and Wizz lets you use several kinds of easing (rather than just
"easy-ease") in a handy way: Expo, Circ, Quint, Quart, Quad, Sine

He also has included "Special effects" eases: Back, Bounce, Elastic

You can see the different types of easing here or in this really basic video that Ian made a while back.

You can download Ease and Wizz here. Ian explains that there are some rough edges, but he has been using it in a production environment for some time and have been pleased with it.

I welcome your feedback, and hope that you find it useful!
