My parents have a satellite dish and I can’t stand watching tv over there. Besides the general bad compression of the video, whenever it’s windy or rainy or snowy, the signal breaks up. It’s ugly!

So, how can you create this ugly effect yourself? I used a plug-in aptly called ‘Digital Interference’ which is part of the Buena Effect Essentals package. This effect combined with a full tint to black when the signal is lost.

Here is a quick Camera Flash built with Buena Effect Essentials. You can build a camera flash pretty easily by keyframing a solid, but I like the way that this flash really highlights the brighter areas, like the sample in the image to the left. That is one frame after the hottest part of the flash.
