I was getting a bit tired of the old design so I swapped it out for something super clean. I know, not very exciting, but you come to this site for information and free stuff, not for a pretty header, right?
The Throttle 1.2 Script has been updated for After Effects CS4 at aescripts.com. Get it here.
It works with the new multi-processing throttle system that was introduced with CS4 that manages how many CPU’s are to be left free for other applications. This version also adds a little known hidden preference that allows you to set the quality of the Toggle Pixel Aspect Correction button in the Comp View.
Rerendered is part of the Toolfarm network and they sell templates for After Effects. This weeks freebie is Magic Ball. Check out Rerendered. The templates are very inexpensive and really big time savers.
Check out these fantastic freebies from the folks at LME! These are the type of template you would get if you bought LME Amazing Video Walls & Displays vol 1 or LME Amazing Video Walls & Displays vol 2, but these are NOT included in the packages (so if you already own them, this is not a repeat). We’ve included the new freebies (3 and 4) and also the originals (1 and 2) which were included in a Toolfarm newsletter not long ago. The templates work in After Effects 6.5 and higher.
The Pan and Zoom plug-ins let you create the photo animation style made popular by Ken Burns with intuitive controls and automatic motion control that achieves stunning results without a single keyframe.
The Pan and Zoom generator works in all hosts currently supported by FxFactory: Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, Final Cut Express 4, Adobe After Effects CS3 and CS4.
The Pan and Zoom transition works inside Final Cut Pro 6 and Final Cut Express 4.
Les (aka pentool) has created a nice preset for Trapcode Form based on the Swimming Pool preset. He “used a 480×320 comp. Presets are set to a 5 second seamless loop. Takes about 5 minutes to render a 5 second loop on a 2.4G dual core. ” Download the Moving Water preset here, at Toolfarm’s Expert Forums. Thanks Les!
Stu Maschwitz, the guy behind Magic Bullet, has some food for thought on his Prolost blog about merging AE and Premiere Pro in his article What Should Adobe Do with Premiere Pro? Leave comments! Let’s get some discussion going here.
Trapcode 3D Stroke = Fun in my opinion. Visit The Genesis Project for the article and project files. If you want to play along, but don’t have 3D Stroke, you can download a trial version here. If you love it (which I KNOW you will), here’s where you can buy it. It’s a bargain at $99 and one license will work in several host applications on the same computer. And it’s fun. Whee!
