Dave Torno posted to the AE-List about his new free images blog called "MacTex, which comes from the words macro and texture. Basically a collection of macro photography images I’ve taken and will be taking in the future. It’s only three days old now so there aren’t a butt load of images, but it will grow with time. They may come in helpful with your artistic creations in After Effects, Photoshop or what ever tools you use and are 100% free for private or commercial use. They are offered as 2304 x 3456 JPG with no warranties / guarantees of any kind."
There are several Boris Continuum Complete (BCC) filters that were designed to produce the glow effect that is very popular for sports broadcast and commercial spots. In this new tutorial, we will use BCC 5 AE in Adobe After Effects CS3 to give you an overview of the BCC Glow, BCC Colorize Glow, and BCC Glow Alpha Edges filters. These same filters are available for Avid and Apple Final Cut Pro editors with a similar workflow using BCC 5 AVX and BCC 5 FxPlug. In addition, the glow filters are included with RED 4.2, Boris FX 9.2, and Graffiti 5.2.

All 12 are free up until March 17th…and as usual they are royalty free and fully customizable.
You can get to them from the home page MotionGraphicsLab.com …just click on the clover.
Drop me a line and let me know what you think…oh and some are render intensive…especially the Rainbows
