The AE-List suffered a major server crash a couple of weeks ago. If you were on the list and no longer on the list, it’s likely due to the fact that they had to use a backup from February 2005. Or, maybe you’re getting mail at an old account now. Either way, you can unsubscribe or resubscribe or join for the first time.

When you rejoin, Rene Hedemyr, who manages the list, says, “Now that the list is back up and running, we ask that you please refrain from flooding everyone’s inbox (and loading up the server) with test messages. Do your best to keep any of these to a minimum. The first few days back online may be a bit rocky as things get sorted, so please be patient with us. We are working very hard to maintain this essential, free, community resource.”

Many thanks to Rene for running the best list around and we’re so glad he could get it going again. Server issues are the bane of my existence, so I can relate.
